Your responsibilities:

  • Development and design of components and assemblies with a focus on prototype and near-series production
  • Selection of suitable manufacturing processes and materials for specific applications
  • Implementation of innovative ideas in rapid prototyping, especially in 3D printing
  • Performance of FEM analyses for the evaluation and optimisation of components
  • Consideration of thermal requirements and development of efficient solutions in the field of thermal management
  • Creation of CAD models and technical drawings
  • Independent project work from idea to implementation
  • Close cooperation with manufacturing, electronics development and product design.

Your Profile:
  • Completed training or degree in mechanical engineering, product development or similar
  • Several years of professional experience in design and working with manufacturing technologies
  • Experience with FEM analysis tools (e.g. ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation or similar)
  • Very good understanding of thermal management (e.g. cooling, material selection, thermal simulation)
  • Confident use of CAD systems (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar)
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes, in particular 3D printing (FDM, SLA, SLS, etc.), is desirable
  • A good understanding of materials, their properties and areas of application is desirable
  • Creative thinking, a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently.
